Diane Frewer
Kindergarten teacher/key person

“After attending the parent and child group with my eldest daughter I just knew that the “feeling” was right for my family. This connection took me to eventually leading a parent and child group and helping in the Kindergarten. I was then offered the role as Assistant and wanted to further my knowledge and enrolled on the Steiner Early Years Studies course, which over three years part time gave me the qualification to become the “Teacher” here at Cobnuts.”

Lauren Beamont
Kindergarten assistant

“I found out about Cobnuts through my friend who at the time was the kindergarten assistant. It sounded like a perfect environment for children and a good place to work too! I have been working in childcare for 14 years, have been a play leader for church-based groups and worked in various settings. It’s great to see the children at Cobnuts lead their own learning through play, interacting with friends and staff, and seeing them so happy.”

Eileen Whitworth
Kindergarten helper

“Over the last few years I worked as the Weavery tutor in a Camphill college and previously as the handwork teacher in several of the London Steiner schools. I have also worked in Steiner-Waldorf Teacher Training. Some of you may have seen our Fairytale productions with my little, ‘Stardust Puppet Theatre’. I have a passion for Steiner education and to give our children the best start in life that we can. I was inspired at several meetings years ago discussing how to bring Early Years Steiner education to Maidstone and I have been in the background of Cobnuts from its earliest beginnings – including the meeting when the name ‘Cobnuts’ was chosen!”
