Advent spirals – for children and adults
We share our advent spiral tradition with other Waldorf schools. It is a simple, reverent occasion about bringing our light to the darkness. Every year the children enjoy carefully treading their path through a spiral of greenery to light their candle at the centre. Creating the spiral from evergreen branches and strands of ivy is also an enjoyable activity! And this year we thought it would be good to re-use the greenery to make Christmas …

At Cobnuts Kindergarten, our approach is founded on the Waldorf Steiner approach to the early years of child development.

We intend to offer children an opportunity to grow and learn in a nourishising setting.

Social and emotional skills are fostered with care. Outdoor, creative and imaginative play help to develop a love for learning and movement, respect for nature and each other.

The setting recognises childhood as a time of wonder and allows time for children to learn through play.
